Come Fly The Burton Sky
Air travel can be so frightful with the crying babies and the recycled air. My personal aversion to flying has little to do with creepy cabin mates or crappy food. Rather, I come undone at the thought of the most basic element of the in-flight experience.
The seating on your average flight is so horrendously designed as to spark to most venom-filled rage deep in my heart of hearts. What can be the explanation for a seat with a headrest shaped as though it were carved from stone with a spoon by a blind man?
I'm fed up with it. And don't ask me to pay for a crusty neck pillow either because I am sure that I won't!
A friend from school once showed me a bitchin laptop case that I was so ready to steal. It was crafted with all kinds of nifty compartments for Mac peripherals. Incase on the other hand, enjoys undeserved popularity because its floppy and colorful laptop envelopes are ubiquitous at retail locations. I want someone to explain where the heck my charger goes after I stuff my laptop into that tiny, zippered envelope.
The laptop case I so admired turned out to be a Burton. Yes. The snowboard company. It took an entrepreneur to design a functional, youthful and sleek case. It seems that same entrepreneur has designed an equally amazing solution for air travel blues.
Burton is offering a Travel Hoodie (or hoody, if you prefer) that aims to comfort you airborne guys and gals.
The "Burton Travel Sleeper Hoodie" features
* Removable, Inflatable Neck Pillow
* Snap-Out Light Shield
* Zippered, Internal Passport and Ticket Pocket
* MP3 Pocket with Headphone Cable Port
* Hidden Stash Pocket with free Ear Plugs
* Cuff Thumb Holes
* Pit Zips for breathability
* Interior Jersey Lining
The hoodie also features a custom zipper pull and a double hood; the second of which is a "light shield" meant to be pulled all the way over the eyes to block bright lights during nap time. Great extras include a sleep mask, a travel toothbrush, and tons of cool, secret pockets.
The hoodie is available in men's and women's styles in both black and ivory. See you in the air!
